In the heart of Arroyo High School, promoting self-confidence and empowering others is something that students here take very seriously. New clubs at Arroyo are fueling the interest of students who want to help others. One of these clubs is Project Blush, a club dedicated to helping others feel more confident in themselves.
Aye Kay (12), the president of Project Blush, dedicates her time to helping those in need feel confident in themselves and their abilities. “Project Blush is a club that was created to help children and/ or adults who are less fortunate feel confident through taking care of their bodies.” she said.
Helping others is key when trying to understand different viewpoints. Empowering others is something that students here at Arroyo do on the daily. Vice President, Nhuy Nguyen (11), gives her take on Project Blush and its impact. “Something about making everyone feel seen and giving to the people in need motivates you a little bit more everyday,” she said.
Dedicating time to helping others will teach students many things. Donating and volunteering can help reach new peaks of understanding the people around us. Learning more about the people in the community can create a positive change in society.
Through this club, students will finally be able to help the people in their community feel more seen.
