The Arroyo Knights just had another successful annual BBW assembly. There were performances from our cheerleading team, band and choir. The cheerleaders performed their very well known chant “Blue Machine” to get the crowd spirited. The band and choir showed off all their hard work while performing. This was exciting for everyone because it was one of the band’s first time performing with their new director, Mr. Aron Campbell.

BBW is the first assembly of the year, planned by ASB,.The event took place in B. L. Bergstrom Stadium, with Students seated in their graduating class. Students come together decked out in their blue black and white gear representing their school spirit. The students cheered while ASB threw out Arroyo merchandise into the energetic crowd.
This year there have been many changes to our school such as adding new sports like flag football, boys volleyball, and Cheerleading stunt. We also have many new staff members such as our assistant principal, Mr.Duong and new clubs like A.R.M.S (Aerospace, Research Mechanical Sciences) club.
All of the varsity fall athletes were recognized and stated their accomplishments and upcoming dates for their games. This was very exciting due to some of our new sports getting recognized like our girls flag football. Some of those athletes got to play some fun games against each other.
Students also saw teachers in a different view. The amazing performance of teachers had been created by one of our teachers, Mr. Dara Sem.
“The idea was pitched to me by a teacher who is no longer here, her name is Fressy Gutierrez and she sent me a video, this was about 2

years in the making,” said Mr.Sem. The teachers dressed up in silly inflatable outfits to show off their fun side. It was a great way to see how teachers can have fun as well.
“I thought it was funny to see them not be teachers and see them messing around with each other.” said senior, Madison Hernandez. After all, the Knights had a great time at the 2025-2026 Blue, Black and White rally.
