This year, at Arroyo, in the senior versus staff dodgeball game, the staff crushed the seniors, winning 2 to 1.
Mr. Arthur Sandavol, teacher, shares his thoughts on winning the game.
“It was a great victory. Complete effort. We all showed up, and it was fantastico. My favorite part was being able to

throw a ball at a kid and not get in trouble.”
Mr. Sandoval is looking forward to challenging the seniors again, “Oh yeah. Can’t wait for the next round. Hoping we can get some frisbee going on like last year, but I would definitely play again.”
Mr. Alex Castaneda, the coach of the faculty team, shared his thoughts on the victory. He was unfortunately unable to play
“It was great, I was more excited that it was a good turnout and everyone was motivated to participate. My favorite part was when Knighty came out, and my least favorite part was not being able to play because of my hip injury.”
The game ended with the seniors losing and the teachers winning.
Ruby Morales was a player on the senior team.
“I think the students tried their best to win. I think we were working strategically and working together. The teachers were just playing back. I think the students were the ones who owned the court, and I think we should’ve won it all, and

it was rigged.”
Ruby took on the faculty and would absolutely play again.
“ 100% I think so. And me and Billy (William Tang) deserve MVP.”
“My favorite part of the game was round 2 when I caught Mrs. Flores’s ball, and we won round 2.”
William Tang, also, was another player on the senior team states how he felt about the game.
“I’m salty, I feel like we really should’ve won that. I feel like the teachers cheated because this dude Sandavol, I got him out, and a couple of seconds later, he gets me out. But the second round was the first round I played, and Ruby, we won it together. We were the last ones left, and we won. We got everyone out, it was like 2 v. 6, and we clutched and came back, and we won that. But it’s unfortunate that we lost the overall game, but it was fun, I liked it.”
