The former St. Louis Rams recently made their return to Los Angeles after 21 years of being in St. Louis, Missouri. The Rams were in Los Angeles from 1946 to 1994. They won one of the two Super Bowls that they appeared in while in St. Louis. Now they have returned back to Los Angeles, something that Rams fans have been impatiently waiting for since a little over two decades and attempt to be successful in order to keep fans happy.

The announcement that the Rams were coming back to LA was in January, a few months before the NFL Draft. The NFL Draft always very intense and competitive. The Rams traded many draft picks and in return got the first overall pick. They selected Jared Goff, quarterback from the University of California, Berkeley. Although every unnamed-1year the first overall picks expectations are high, Jared Goff raised some questions to the fans and critics. As far as number one overall picks go, Goff had the worst college record of any number one overall pick in NFL history. Jared Goff may be a bust, but for the Rams they believe that he is their franchise quarterback.

Every pre-season, each NFL team has a chance to take a look at how their rookies look in real game situations. On the Rams first game back in LA was a pre-season match up against the Dallas Cowboys. The first play of the game was a kickoff return from the Cowboys for a touchdown. This was obviously not the way that fans filled with excitement wanted the game to start, but the Rams ended up winning, which would be the most important thing. The Rams ended the preseason with a 2-2 record.

A couple weeks before the 16 week long regular season started, the Rams announced that veteran quarterback Case Keenum would be there starting quarterback. Keenum is not a great quarterback, but the Rams figured that Goff would need some time because of the dramatic change from college to the NFL.

unnamed-2Their first regular season game was on Monday Night Football against the 49ers. The game was not pretty for the Rams due to the fact that they were shutout with the score of 28-0, along with one of their best players, Aaron Donald, being disqualified.

After that game the Rams went on a three game win streak, followed by a four game losing streak. Currently, the Rams are 4-8 and playoffs do not look likely.
