Mrs.Tran

Amanda Medina, Staff writer

Where are you from?

Mountain View High School

What high school/college did you graduate from?

Rosemead/Cal State LA.

How do you like Arroyo?/How long have you been teaching?

So far, it’s going good. It seems like I see kids actually ask questions after class. At Mountain View, I’ve been there for thirteen years, and the first week I didn’t really see anyone ask questions. I’ve been teaching for 14 years.

Why did you choose what you’re teaching?

I chose what I’m teaching because I love math and hopefully one of these days I will make a difference to my students.

What are some of your hobbies

I like to go to the movies, spend time with my kids, and go shopping.

What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

I enjoy listening to classical music.

What was your  least favorite subject in school?

History because I had a bad experience with a history teacher. Most of the time I was just memorizing, and it didn’t really apply to real life problems or the history of the past.

What is your best high school memory?

My best memory in high school was all my good friends, and I actually had friends help me out when I was an English learner.

What would you be doing if you weren’t teaching?

I would be a housewife watching two kids.

What are you involved with outside of school?

Most of the time I just go home, and babysit my son because I just had a baby five months ago.
